King of the Cats and the Queen of Country

There are no words to describe the loss of two legends within 24 hours.

Truly, how can one find the words to let go of Zack, the cat who mysteriously appeared seven years ago? He was in perfect health all those years, and now, we can no longer see this magnificent being surveying his kingdom. Just like the Scottish legend about the King of the Cats, he was solid black with a white patch on his chest. His regal presence told you everything you needed to know. There was a depth to his character that you don't always see in a cat. Losing him to a surprise illness is one of the worst experiences of my life.

Then, less than 24 hours later, there was news of the loss of Dolly Parton, the Queen of Country and so much more. And all the good things you heard about her? You are not even getting half the list. There are so many remarkable things she has done and lives she has touched, and as many others have said, all we can do is share the light. While talking through this shocking news, a large and bright Monarch butterfly floated through the front yard, headed in the direction of Zack's physical location.

May God let your souls rest in Heaven.
