Continuing with the upcoming 50th birthday milestone, let's celebrate today by translating ten French herbs.

AI did it again, providing us with an illustration of the following ten herbs:
Basil | La basilic |
Parsley | Le persil |
Rosemary | Le romarin |
Thyme | Le thym |
Mint | La menthe |
Marjoram | La marjolaine |
Tarragon | L'estragon |
Chives | La ciboulette |
Chervil | Le cerfeuil |
Oregano | L'origan |
Several of these can be found in the famous Herbes de Provence, a personal favorite mentioned a few years ago in an earlier post: French Herbs for the Garden/Potager. My personal favorite is mint, translated as la menthe. Luckily, last night's frost did not affect the mint in the herb garden next to the kitchen. As a matter of fact, I am sipping sweet tea with some of those mint leaves right now!
