Just a quick note to remind you to keep feeding the hummingbirds, even if autumn is right around the corner!
While admiring the latest burst of rose blooms, a hummingbird approached me, hovering surprisingly close. Even though the number of hummingbirds has dropped exponentially as they head further south, there are still a few random visitors. Some sources say bird feeders should be replenished until Thanksgiving, just to make sure the random visitors have enough energy as they pass through from more northerly locations.
Meanwhile, perhaps this flying beauty was visiting to say, "Good Bye."
